Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were clean and warm, but unfortunately, we were disturbed by noise from a nearby dinner party till late. On the bright side, the view of the stunning gardens was lovely, although the smell of tobacco smoke was off-putting.
The hotel offers bright and clean rooms that are very comfortable, although they can feel a bit cramped at times. The service is a mix of polar opposites, ranging from superb and kind to rude and unfriendly. The location is convenient for town center access and attractions, with some shortcomings like slow hot water. The dining experience varies from great with plenty of choice to just okay with limited options. Overall, the hotel has its ups and downs but can be a good value for money.
This hotel offers a comfortable stay with wonderful views of the beautiful garden, but the initial chill due to no central heating and the extremely cramped room at the top of a narrow staircase were slight drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The room was not ready when I arrived early as I was advised, and it was not up to the standard I had booked. The small size and numerous issues made it look worn out, but at least I had a view of the garden. The service was friendly but lacked knowledge in certain areas, and the room felt cramped. The location was great for visiting friends and exploring Ely, right near the cathedral and with easy access by car or train. Dining had its ups and downs with polite staff but hit-or-miss food quality. Overall, it had some positives and negatives worth considering.
